Description

Taro is a root vegetable, and the flavour is nutty and mildly sweet rather than fruity. This mix is 11.5% taro powder, so the taro in it is the root itself and not only a flavouring, and two colours give it the purple. Made with milk, dairy or oat, it is a taro milk tea; made with hot water on its own it is thinner and sweeter, and better over ice.

This taro milk tea powder also comes in a 150g sachet, which makes a batch of drinks and is the size to try before the bag. The 1kg bag is the one for a counter, or a home that pours it most days, and it is the lowest cost per drink. Reseal after each scoop and keep it dry.

How to use

Measure 1 part powder to 12 parts hot water or milk. Stir until it has dissolved, then pour over ice and add cooked tapioca pearls.
