Matcha bubble tea powder in a 1kg bag, the café size and our best-selling 1kg powder. Mix 1 part powder with 12 parts hot water or milk, stir until it has dissolved, and serve it hot or over ice for about 65 to 70 drinks a bag.

Be clear about what this is. It is a sweetened matcha milk tea powder, sugar first on the list, with matcha powder and a matcha flavouring and two colours to hold the green. It is not plain ceremonial matcha for whisking, and if you want an unsweetened green tea powder this is the wrong bag. What it tastes of is green tea first, grassy and a touch bitter under the sugar, softened by milk into the matcha latte of a bubble tea shop. With strawberry popping boba in the glass it is a strawberry matcha.

Matcha also comes as a 150g sachet, enough for a batch and the size to try first. This 1kg bag is for a counter, or anyone making it most days, and the cost per drink is the lower of the two. Reseal the bag after each use and keep it away from moisture.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Once opened, reseal tightly and use within 3 months. Do not use if powder is clumped or discoloured.
