Matcha bubble tea powder in a 150g sachet, a sweetened matcha drink powder rather than plain matcha. Made like the rest of the range, 1 part powder to 12 parts hot water or milk, stirred in the cup. Sugar is first on the list, then maltodextrin and glucose, then matcha powder and matcha flavouring, so it comes out as the mellow, creamy green matcha latte from a bubble tea counter rather than an unsweetened one.

If you are looking for a culinary or ceremonial matcha to whisk, this is not it; if you are looking for the matcha milk tea powder a shop uses, it is. The green is helped along by tartrazine and brilliant blue. Matcha is a green tea, so this is one of the two powders in the range with tea already in it, alongside the classic milk tea. Made in Taiwan.

A note on the word sachet: this is one resealable 150g pack, not a box of single-serve sticks. It is the size for finding out. For a counter, the 1kg bag is the café size at around 65 to 70 drinks and the lowest cost per drink.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Once opened, reseal tightly and use within 3 months. Do not use if powder is clumped or discoloured.
