Cherry popping boba in a 600g tub, 12 to 15 servings at 40 to 50g, ready the moment you open it. The pearls are a vivid ruby red and burst on the bite with a sweet cherry-flavoured syrup that has a slight tartness behind it. No cooking or preparation needed.
Cherry flavouring carries the taste and malic acid gives it that edge. The colour comes from plain caramel together with Allura Red and Tartrazine, which is why the E102 and E129 warning is printed below. Spoon them into a jasmine iced tea, a vanilla milk tea or a glass of lemonade for a cherry refresher, or into a cocktail.
Cherry comes in four sizes. The 100g pot is one drink. This 600g tub is the household size, for a home that makes boba drinks most days of the week: opened pearls keep five days in the fridge, so the tub is right when a dozen or more servings in that week sounds about right. The 1.6kg tub is the café size and the 3.4kg tub is for catering and dessert bars.
